Recovering of the Ozone Layer

Remember back when we found out that hairspray was making a massive hole in the ozone layer, Right over Antarctica? Well, good news Everyone! The Hole is very slowly Repairing itself, Yay!!......Yups U heard Right :) The atmospheric layer that protects Earth's inhabitants from the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays is Slowly Rebuilding itself.

It was in the 1970, that scientists Realized CFCs had made the ozone layer thin above Antarctica.
The hole was largest in 2006 at about 30 million square kilometers. Its now about 20 million square kilometers,Reuters said - Big enough for the moon to pass through, through its size varies from year to year because of atmospheric temperature changes.
left Unchecked, Ozone destruction caused higher rates of skin cancer, Disrupt plant growth and destabilize the aquatic food chain thanks to an in crease in harmful ultraviolet rays.

The Montreal Protocol also helped protect the ozone layer by phasing out the production of numerous substances that are responsible for ozone depletion. The HFCs are transitional CFCs replacements, used as refrigerants, solvents, blowing agents for plastic foam manufacture, and fire extinguishers. HFCs do not harm the ozone layer but only used for the regeneration of the ozone layer.
